Georgia Military Affairs Coordinating CommitteeThe Georgia Military Affairs Coordinating Committee (GMACC) was established in 1994 by Governor Zell Miller, at the behest of Senator Sam Nunn, to help Georgia's bases deal with Base Realignment and Closure. The Committee was reappointed by Governor Roy Barnes and most recently by Governor Sonny Perdue. Mr. James Balkcom Jr. serves as the Committee Chairman and Brigadier General Philip Y. Browning serves as the Executive Director. The Committee has 2 employees.
